Rasmus Hojlund and Kyle Walker clashed during Sunday’s Manchester Derby at the Etihad, as tensions briefly threatened to spill over.
Manchester United ultimately had the last laugh as Amad Diallo scored a dramatic 90th-minute winner, just two minutes after Bruno Fernandes had brought them level. Earlier in the contest, Hojlund and Walker were involved in a heated incident.
The latter’s shove on Hojlund was met with an angry reaction from the forward and the pair went head-to-head. Despite minimal contact, Walker theatrically tumbled to the floor holding his face, with both players cautioned following the incident.
After celebrating a derby day success for his side, Hojlund could not resist a dig at Walker’s antics on social media. On Instagram, the Denmark international captioned a picture of the pair: “Manchester is red, violets are blue, what a brilliant performance, but the Oscar goes to…”
‘But the Oscar goes to…’ 👀
