Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong has said he believes teammate Victor Osimhen will be a Premier League player next season.
Osimhen is set for a major summer transfer with Napoli keen to sell the forward. The Nigeria international has a release clause of 75 million euros (£63.2m) in his contract with the Italian side that will be active this summer.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray, following a fallout at Napoli last summer. He has scored 26 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions to re-emphasise his reputation as one of Europe’s best number nines.
Galatasaray are keen to keep the player but accept a deal is unlikely, given the finances involved and interest from wealthier clubs.
Nigeria teammate Troost-Ekong has revealed that Osimhen has held talks with ‘all the top teams’ as he weighs up his next career move. He suggested the Super Eagles striker could be an option for Liverpool or Chelsea next season and has backed Osimhen for a Premier League transfer.
“I know he’s a Chelsea fan, but I also know he’s had talks with all the top teams. It’s up to him what he chooses. He will fit into every team,” Troost-Ekong told talkSPORT.
“I know Liverpool have spoken about getting a new striker next season. We will see.
“I’m also reading, like everyone else is, that he has a clause this summer. When he went to Galatasaray I think it worked out amazingly for him.
“I couldn’t see him playing there for another season, or anywhere else but the Premier League next season.”
