Juventus are closing in on the signing of Dusan Vlahovic after the club reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the forward.
Juventus have agreed a fee of £62.8m with Fiorentina after opening talks with their divisional rivals over a deal for the Serbia international, who has been a reported transfer target for both Arsenal and Tottenham this month.
Vlahovichas emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in world football following his goalscoring form for Fiorentina, with the 21-year-old having netted 17 goals from 21 league appearances so far this season.
The forward also equalled Cristiano Ronaldo’s divisional record for a calendar year after scoring 33 Serie A goals in 2021.
Arsenal and Spurs had hoped to persuade Vlahovic to move to the Premier League, but the Sky Sports are reporting that the star has turned down interest from England in favour of a move to Juventus.
Fiorentina face a potential backlash from the club’s supporters over the deal, following the unrest that followed the sales of Federico Bernardeschi and Federico Chiesa to the Turin side in recent windows.
The Italian side have been open to his sale this month after Vlahovic – who has 18 months remaining on his deal – turned down the offer of a new contract.
