Aurélien Tchouameni has reportedly agreed terms with both Liverpool and Real Madrid as the two clubs compete for the signature of the Monaco midfielder.
Tchouameni is a leading target for the Champions League finalists as both sides look to secure a summer deal for the 22-year-old, who has emerged as one of the most promising talents in Ligue 1.
The midfielder was named as France’s Young Player of the Year in 2020/21 and has been included in the divisional Team of the Season in consecutive campaigns.
He has played a key role as Monaco finished third and secured Champions League qualification this season., leading Ligue 1 for interceptions and ranking third for tackles won
RMC Sport are reporting that Tchouameni has ruled out a move to Paris Saint-Germain and will now decide between Liverpool and Real Madrid after both clubs agreed terms with the player’s representatives.
Monaco are believed to value Tchouameni in the region of €80m and the in-demand star will made a decision on his future this week.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both previously been linked with the France international, though United’s absence from the Champions League is likely to hinder their potential interest, while Chelsea are currently banned from entering any negotiations given the sanctions imposed upon the club.
