Juventus have reportedly made enquiries over Timo Werner and Anthony Martial as the Italian side look to improve their forward options ahead of the new campaign.
Max Allegri is continuing his rebuild of Juventus this summer with attacking additions next on the club’s agenda, as negotiations continue to bring Alvaro Morata back to the club on a permanent basis.
Morata has spent the past two seasons on loan at Juventus and scored 32 goals in 92 appearances, but discussions with Atletico Madrid over a permanent deal have proven difficult.
Sky Sports Italia’s Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that Juventus are now considering alternatives and have enquired about a deal to sign Anthony Martial, who has returned to Manchester United this summer after a loan spell at Sevilla last term.
Martial struggled for form and favour last season and his fortunes failed to improve during a six-month spell in Spain, but has impressed since returning for pre-season under new manager Erik ten Hag, where he has scored three goals in four appearances during the club’ tour of Thailand and Australia.
The report also states that Juventus are interested in Chelsea forward Werner, who last week discussed his frustration at a lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
The Germany international has underwhelmed since signing for the west Londoners in 2020, where he has scored just ten league goals across 54 appearances.
Chelsea would reportedly be willing to loan out Werner for the new season, while the Mail report that former side RB Leipzig are also interested in a deal.
