Erik ten Hag has responded to speculation linking Marcus Rashford with an exit and insists the forward remains a part of his plans at Manchester United.
Rashford has been linked with a potential departure after entering the final 12 months of his deal, though the Red Devils possess an option to extend for a further season.
The 24-year-old’s representatives are understood to have met with Paris Saint-Germain last week, but Ten Hag has issued a response on his stance.
The Dutchman insists Rashford remains a part of the club’s plans moving forward and says he does not want to lose the England international.
“He’s really important, you have seen from the first day I’m here, I’m really happy with him,” Ten Hag told his pre-match press conference ahead of United’s trip to Brentford.
”I don’t want to lose him, he’s definitely in our plans at Manchester United.”
Rashford has suffered a downturn in form across the last 18 months and scored just five goals last season. He has scored 93 goals in 304 appearances for the Red Devils since making a goalscoring debut as a teenager in 2016.
