Erik ten Hag insists he’s not concerned by the ‘pressure’ ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Brentford.
Ten Hag’s reign began in nightmare fashion with a 2-1 home loss to Brighton last weekend, with the Red Devils producing a poor performance in defeat at Old Trafford.
United travel to Brentford this weekend looking for a much improved performance, as Ten Hag looks to secure the first points of his Premier League career.
The Dutchman insists there is always pressure to deliver at Manchester United but is confident his team can bounce back with a positive result.
“I know there is always pressure,” Ten Hag told his pre-match press conference.
”I have the experience, how it is, I know we have to win every game, I know the fans, I know everyone expects Manchester United to win every game, we have to deal with that and all I can do is prepare the team as well as I can this weekend.”
Brentford began their season with a 2-2 draw at Leicester last weekend, with the Bees having fought back from two goals down to rescue a point.
Ten Hag is expecting a difficult test against Thomas Frank’s side and praised the continuity and structure of the west Londoners.
“Every game is hard. Really good (team), same as last week, Brighton, they have a team and coach long together and a good structure.”
