Tanguy Ndombele is set to leave Tottenham and join Napoli on a season-long loan deal with the Italian club possessing an option to make the move permanent for a fee of €30m.
Ndombele has struggled since making a £55m club-record move to Spurs in 2019 with the former Lyon midfielder having failed to impress under a number of different managers in north London.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Spurs have accepted an initial loan deal from Napoli which includes an option to buy, with Antonio Conte having informed Ndombele that he does not feature in his future plans.

Ndombele was viewed as a coup for Spurs after the club beat off competition from a host of clubs to secure his signing, but he has flattered to deceive in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old began brightly after his initial arrival at Spurs but failed to find consistency in his performances, with his work rate often criticised. Ndombele spent the second half of last season on loan at former side Lyon, but made just seven league starts for the Ligue 1 side.
Ndombele’s arrival will continue a busy summer of recruitment for Napoli, who have already made seven summer signings. The Serie A side are also working on deals to sign PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas and Sassuolo’s Giacomo Raspadori.
