Ole Gunner Solskjaers reveals United still have some business to do ahead of transfer deadline

Just days remain before the summer transfer window shuts in English football, and United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking on whether United fans should expect any further incomings or outgoings.

United have already had a couple of good transfers this summer, with the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and also agreeing on deal to re-sign their legend Christiano Ronaldo from Juventus.

But ahead of this weekend’s trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton wonderers, reporters quizzed Solskjaer on whether whether any further business might be imminent, and in particular if Jesse lingard could leave the club.

“Jesse, I see him as a United player,” began Ole, “I know there’s load’s of speculations about him, but he’s had a very good pre-season; just been picked for England in the squad.

“It’s just been unfortunate that he got COVID just before the league started, he would’ve 100 per cent started the first game [against Leeds] because of the pre-season he had, so i can see him doing well this season.”

The Press conference then moved on to the squad in general. Specifically, how desperate the Norwegian to bring more players before the transfer window shuts?

“Any manner like Jose [Mourinho] said last week,is always looking for a little bit more,” explained Ole, but I have to say that the transfer business we’ve done this summer…. I’m happy.
“I’m happy with the numbers we have, with the quality we have, with the personality we’ve brought in. The atmosphere and the spirit in the squad is very good. The staff with them, they fit each other very well.
“You’re never comfortable, of course you’re not as a manager,  but you go to work and see the chemistry is there. I’m very happy with what we’ve got here.”
