Manchester United are being linked with another raid on Ajax as the club consider a move for Mohammed Kudus.
Erik ten Hag has admitted that he is searching for a striker following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit and is interested in a deal to bring Kudus to the Premier League.
The Ghana international has impressed in an advanced role for Ajax this season, for who he has scored ten goals in ten starts across all competitions. The 22-year-old further underlined his potential with two goals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to 90min, Kudus is on a list of transfer targets under consideration at Old Trafford. United are exploring cheaper deals ahead of the summer transfer window and could approach Ajax over a loan-to-buy deal for Kudus.
Kudus came close to signing for Everton in the closing stages of last summer’s transfer window, before a deal failed to materialise. He has since enjoyed a breakthrough season at Ajax and scored five goals in the Champions League’s group stage.
His arrival would be the third signing from Ajax since Ten Hag’s appointment as manager last summer, following deals for Lisandro Martinez and Antony.
Memphis Depay, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Olivier Giroud and Vincent Aboubakar are also being discussed as United consider cost-efficient, short-team deals.
