Chelsea and Los Angeles FC are still waiting on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s decision on whether to accept a loan move to MLS.
LAFC have been in discussions with Chelsea over a loan deal for the out-of-favour forward, who has struggled to make an impact since returning to the Premier League last summer.
The 33-year-old has scored just three goals in 17 appearances for the west Londoners and has not started a Premier League fixture since November. Chelsea are keen to offload the Gabon international, who has not been included in the squad for the Champions League’s knockout stages, following the club’s January business
Aubeymang saw an exit in the January window blocked due to FIFA rules. The forward can not feature for another club during the 2022/23 season having already represented both Barcelona and Chelsea during the current campaign.

However, an exception to the rule means he could play in official matches for a third club if the move is between two sides belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring).
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that LAFC are now waiting on a decision from Aubameyang, ahead of a potential move to the United States.
The MLS season begins later this month and is considered an overlapping season. LAFC are interested in a loan deal to sign the forward ahead of their campaign, following the retirement of Gareth Bale.
