Leandro Trossard hailed a ‘perfect win’ for Arsenal after the Premier League leaders thrashed Fulham to restore their five-point advantage at the top of the division.
Trossard was the star of the show as Arsenal won 3-0 at Craven Cottage, producing a hat-trick of assists inside the opening 45 minutes in west London.
The Belgian’s corner was headed home by Gabriel for the opener, before another cross found the head of Gabriel Martinelli to double the Gunners’ advantage.
Trossard then became just the 11th player to provide three assists inside the opening half of a Premier League fixture after picking out Martin Odegaard for Arsenal’s third. He is the first player to have done so in an away fixture.
The 28-year-old was delighted with the performance from his side and said Arsenal’s run-in represents ‘eleven finals’ as the Gunners chase a first Premier League title in 19 years.
“When we win we’re always happy. We knew it would be a tough game. We did really well. We kept a clean sheet as well,” Trossard told Sky Sports.
“A perfect win for us. I’m really happy with it [hat-trick of assists]. I always try to contribute. Today it went my way. I’m just really happy we won.
“Same as last week. Eleven finals for us. We’ll take it game by game. Today we did a great game.”
