Man United keen to offload Maguire and Lindleof this summer

Manchester United are keen to offload Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof this summer as the club look to overhaul their centre-back options.

Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in a new central defender at the end of the season but first make room in his squad with outgoings.

Lindelof was subject of interest from Inter Milan during the January transfer window and will be allowed to leave in the summer after making just five Premier League starts this season.

Football Insider are reporting that Inter could renew their interest in the Sweden international, as part of a potential swap deal involving Denzel Dumfries.

Maguire has also struggled for regular first-team football since Ten Hag’s appointment as manager, with the club captain having featured for just 479 minutes in the Premier League.

The England international discussed his lack of football last week and insisted that he still had an important role to play at Old Trafford. West Ham were linked with a move for the 30-year-old during the winter transfer window.

Both defenders will be made available for sale, as United target a deal for Napoli centre-back Kim Min-Jae. The South Korean has been outstanding during his debut season with the Italian league leaders and the Red Devils are reportedly interested in a £143m double raid on Napoli for the centre-back and forward Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is the leading scorer in Serie A this season and is believed to top United’s shortlist of centre-forward options.
