Liverpool and Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli centre-back Kim Min-Jae.
The South Korea international has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs after an exceptional debut season with the Italian side, who are 19 points clear at the top of Serie A and closing in on a first Scudetto since 1990.
The 26-year-old is understood to have a release clause of around £43m in his contract at Napoli, a figure several English clubs are prepared to meet this summer.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in a double raid on Napoli for Min-Jae and forward Victor Osimhen, but could face competition for the former’s signature from Premier League rivals.
Football Insider are reporting that Tottenham – who are long-term admirers of the centre-back – are ready to renew their interest, while Liverpool are also keen on a deal as Jurgen Klopp looks to sign a central defender.
Min-Jae signed for Napoli in an €18m deal from Fenerbahce last summer as the club sought a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, following the latter’s move to Chelsea.
He has formed part of a Napoli defence who have conceded just 16 goals from 27 league fixtures this season, while Luciano Spalletti’s side have also reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time.
