Jude Bellingham has ruled out signing for Manchester City or Chelsea this summer, despite Liverpool cooling their interest in the midfielder.
Bellingham is among the most coveted talents in European football right now with a host of top clubs having expressed an interest in signing the Borussia Dortmund teenager.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been named as frontrunners in recent months, but the former are understood to have ‘all but pulled out of the race’.
The total package for Bellingham is expected to cost in excess of £130m and Liverpool are believed to have deemed that figure too high, given the Reds’ expected absence from the Champions League next season and the need for multiple midfield additions at Anfield.
Real Madrid have also set an internal limit of €150m (£130m) for the 19-year-old, with a maximum of €100m upfront and €50m in add-ons.
However, despite the complications involving the interest of Liverpool and Real Madrid, German publication BILD are reporting that Bellingham has ruled out moves to Chelsea, Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Bellingham could decide to remain at Borussia Dortmund for a further season, with reports of a lower value release clause in his contract that will become active in 2024.
