Arsenal are considering an approach to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise this summer.
Mikel Arteta has been impressed with the winger’s development at Palace this season, with Olise having provided eight assists in the Premier League.
Just three players have created more goals than the 21-year-old, who became the youngest player in Premier League history to provide three assists from open play in a single game against Leeds last weekend.
Arsenal are understood to view the Frenchman as ideal cover for Bukayo Saka, given Olise’s preference to cut inside from the right flank. Since the start of last season, only Saka (17) has provided more assists in the Premier League than Olise (12) among players aged 21 or under.
Football Transfers are reporting that Palace value Olise in the region of £40m and the winger has three years remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park.
Olise signed for Palace in an £8m deal from Reading in 2021, having been named as the EFL Championship Young Player of the Season the previous campaign.
He has since made 63 appearances for the Eagles in all competitions, in which he has scored six goals and provided 16 assists.
