Julian Nagelsmann has reportedly ‘withdrawn’ from the race to become the next Chelsea manager.
The former Bayern Munich boss has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and was thought to be one of the front-runners to replace Graham Potter.
Chelsea are believed to have interviewed a number of candidates for the role, including Luis Enrique, Ruben Amorim and Mauricio Pochettino, though Nagelsmann was said to be leading the race after impressing in his talks with the club.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the 35-year-old has now ‘withdrawn’ from the process, saying that it is his ‘final decision’ on the matter.

He reports that the German has held ‘multiple rounds of talks’ though is ‘no longer available’, adding that the ‘crucial points were never agreed’ between the two parties.
The Italian adds that former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is also out of the running, though former Spurs and PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is ‘in the race’.
Romano’s claims on Nagelsmann are backed up by Telegraph journalist Matt Law, who says it is ‘very good news’ for those supporters that want Pochettino to take over at the West London club.
Nagelsmann has been linked with Spurs this summer, while he has also been linked with the manager’s job at Real Madrid and PSG, with both potentially set to become available this summer.
Chelsea are currently languishing in 11th in the Premier League, 12 points off the top six, and having been dumped out of the Champions League in midweek, their 2-0 loss at home sealing a 4-0 aggregate defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
