Real Madrid receive injury boost ahead of Man City second leg

Real Madrid have received a boost ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg with Manchester City with Eduardo Camavinga expected to be fit to feature.

Camavinga was substituted with a knee problem during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Getafe on Saturday, with the midfielder included in the side despite a much-changed team at the Bernabeu.

The 20-year-old excelled at left-back during the first leg against Manchester City and assisted Vinicius Junior’s goal in the Spanish capital.

The concerns over Camavinga appear to have been allayed however, after tests revealed only a minor problem and Marca are reporting that the Frenchman is expected to be passed fit for Wednesday’s fixture.

Carlo Ancelotti rested several stars for the win over Getafe with Karim Benzema, Rodrygo, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger all unused.

Eder Militao featured at the weekend and will be available for the return leg against City after suspension, as the European champions look to reach consecutive Champions League finals.
