Manchester United reignite Rabiot interest as they ‘push’ for free transfer

Manchester United are set to reignite their interest in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus as the midfielder approaches the end of his contract.

Rabiot’s deal is set to expire at the end of the season with the France international having failed to reach terms on an extension.

United made an approach to sign Rabiot during last summer’s transfer window and L’Equipe are reporting that the Red Devils have retained that interest.

The 28-year-old has had his best season to date at Juventus during the current campaign and has scored 11 goals in all competitions, while the midfielder featured prominently as France reached the World Cup final last winter.

Rabiot has discussed a desire to play in the Premier League previously and could decide on a new challenge this summer after four seasons in Turin.

Erik ten Hag is keen to add the midfielder to his options on a free transfer, with the signings of Rabiot and Tottenham forward Harry Kane described as ‘important objectives’ ahead of the summer transfer window.
