Tottenham have joined the race to sign David Raya from Brentford as the club look to sign a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Lloris is set to leave Spurs this summer after more than a decade in north London, with the veteran goalkeeper – currently sidelined with a knee injury – likely to have played his last game for the club.
The 36-year-old is contracted for next season, but there is an expectation that Lloris will leave after 447 appearances across 11 years.
According to the Telegraph, Brentford’s Raya is on the club’s list of potential replacements and Spurs have joined Manchester United and Chelsea in expressing an interest in the Spaniard.
Raya has turned down the offer of a new contract at Brentford and the Bees are resigned to losing the 27-year-old given he will enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer.
The Spain international has forged a reputation as one of the Premier League’s best distributors and is valued at around £40m at Brentford.

Brentford appear to be preparing for Raya’s exit with the club in advanced talks to sign Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken. The Dutchman has a release clause of £11.3m in his contract at the Bundesliga side.
