Manchester United reportedly have 13 players that have been ‘earmarked for a departure’ as Erik ten Hag continues his rebuild of the club.
Despite a number of setbacks, it has been a largely positive season for Manchester United, who secured a third placed finish in the Premier League, while they have also ended their six-year wait for silverware with victory in the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils could make it two trophies with victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final next weekend, though Ten Hag has consistently insisted that ‘good is not good enough’ for his side as he looks to get United back to the top of English football.
Ten Hag oversaw a club record spend of over £200 million last summer, though it is widely accepted that he still has a large rebuilding project on his hands, with the club desperately in need of a number 9 with Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst – on loan from Burnley – having failing to impress in front of goal this season.
United are also thought to be keen on signing a midfielder, a defender and a goalkeeper this summer, and the Mail are reporting that up to 13 players could leave Old Trafford.
Brazilian midfielder Fred was spotted chatting to Fulham boss Marco Silva in the wake of their final-day meeting at Old Trafford, leading to speculation of interest from the Cottagers.

Meanwhile, David de Gea is out of contract in the summer and a new deal has yet to be signed, while Dean Henderson is expected to be allowed to leave after spending the season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
Anthony Elanga has fallen down the pecking order under Ten Hag – making just 16 Premier League appearances this season – and is said to be attracting attention from 12 clubs, while club captain Harry Maguire has been tipped to leave after also falling out of favour under the Dutchman’s tenure, the England international starting just eight league games this term.
There are also question marks regarding the futures of Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Brandon Williams, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial.
United have already confirmed that Phil Jones will bring an end to his 12 year spell at the club this summer.
