Manchester United have completed the deal to re-sign Christiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
The Red Devils emerged as the front-runners for the 36-years-old’s signature earlier on Thursday, with Man City having previously been reported to be on the brink to sign him from Juventus.
However, Manchester city pulled out of the race to sign him after Ronaldo’s preference to rejoin Manchester United where he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances between 2003 and 2009.
The 20-times English champions have since moved quickly to agree a deal with Juventus for the five-times Ballon d’OR winner and they’ve now confirmed that Ronaldo is set to return to old Trafford.
“Manchester United are delighted to confirm that the club have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Christiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms visa and medical.” Read the statement on the club’s official website.
