Sancho reveals his delight since joining Man Utd and his excitement to link up with Rashford

Jadon Sancho has revealed his delight since joining Manchester United and says he is excited to link up with international teammate Marcus Rashford.

Sancho became the Red Devils’ first major signing of the summer after completing a £72.9m move from Borussia Dortmund, the winger sealing a long-awaited return to the Premier League after a protracted transfer chase.

The 21-year-old admits he hasn’t ‘stopped smiling’ since making the move to Old Trafford and is hopeful he can replicate his Bundesliga exploits in English football following a brilliant four-season spell at Dortmund.

“I haven’t stopped smiling. I’m just happy to be here and be part of the Red Devils and the team,” he told UMM.

“Especially when I made my debut – the lads have been very good with me and made it easier.

“I’m going to keep playing my game. I’m not going to change what I’ve been doing over in Germany. I’ve just got to bring it here and hopefully I can show the fans what I can deliver.”

Sancho also discussed his excitement to link up with England teammate Rashford at club level, the latter currently sidelined after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The duo form part of an exciting attacking contingent of English talent at Old Trafford with Mason Greenwood also amongst the Red Devils’ options, with Sancho relishing the prospect of the trio forming an understanding this season.

“That’s going to be a crazy link up when Marcus gets back,” Sancho said.

“Obviously I’ve seen a bit of Mason recently in training – he’s crazy. We’re still getting to know each other, obviously movements and things like that, getting our understanding, but it’s going to be crazy all three of us on the pitch.”
