Van de Beek to seek Man Utd exit in January

Donny van de Beek will make another attempt to leave Manchester United in January after growing increasingly frustrated with his role at the club.

Van de Beek has struggled to make an impact since signing for the Red Devils from Ajax, starting just four Premier League fixtures during a disappointing 2020/21 campaign.

The midfielder was keen on a move away from the club during the summer with Everton having expressed an interest in signing the 24-year-old on loan, but remained with United after being given assurances over his future.

Those assurances have failed to materialise with Van de Beek having featured for just five minutes in the Premier League so far this season, whilst the star was visibly frustrated after being an unused substitute once again during the Red Devils’ 2-1 Champions League win against Villarreal on Wednesday night.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Van de Beek will now make a fresh attempt to leave the club during the winter window, as the midfielder looks to kick-start a career that has stagnated since his move to England.

His agent revealed last month that clubs in England, Italy and Germany had expressed an interest his signature and United could look to recoup some of their £40m investment as the club raise funds for a defensive midfield addition.
