Dortmund set their asking price for Man Utd and Liverpool linked Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set an asking price of £101m for Jude Bellingham, as the Bundesliga side look to ward off interest from the Premier League.

Bellingham has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting talents since signing for Dortmund, with the midfielder having been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool in recent months.

Liverpool are understood to have made the signing of the 18-year-old a leading transfer target, though Bild, as per the Mirror, are reporting that Dortmund have set a huge asking price for the in-demand teenage talent.

The German side will seek a fee of around €120 million (£101m) from interested suitors, and are hopeful the fee will end interest from England in Bellingham’s services.

Bellingham signed for Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020 and was named as the Bundesliga’s Newcomer of the Season following an impressive breakthrough campaign, becoming the third-youngest player to make their senior debut for England before being named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2020.

The midfielder has continued his excellent showings this season and has scored three goals and provided four assists across all competitions, performances which have piqued the interest of Premier League sides.

Interested sides would need to break the Premier League’s transfer record to secure a deal for Bellingham, however, a player who looks set to be the latest youngster developed at the Westfalenstadion before being sold on for huge profit.
