Raphinha’s potential move to Bayern Munich remains ‘a long way off’ despite rumours linking the Leeds winger with a €50m move to the Bundesliga this month.
Bayern are understood to be amongst a host of leading clubs monitoring the Brazilian, who has impressed since his arrival into the Premier League and has scored eight goals in 17 league appearances so far this season.
Reports in Brazil over the last week suggested Bayern were closing in on a €50m January deal for Raphinha, with the 25-year-old’s youth side, Avai FC, having alledgedly included their share of a potential fee in plans for the coming season.
However, Sky Sports Deutschland are reporting that a potential move is still ‘a long way off’ with a move dependent on the future of Kingsley Coman.
Bayern are considering wide additions with Coman’s future uncertain, the France international having entered the final 18 months of his deal at the Allianz Arena.
The priority for the German’s is to renew terms with the 25-year-old, who has made 157 appearances across four-and-a-half seasons in Bavaria and scored the winning goal during the club’s Champions League final win over PSG in 2020.
Coman is part of a deep collection of wingers in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad at present with Germany internationals Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry also competing for a starting position, whilst teenager Jamal Musiala has also been used in a wide role.
Interest in Raphinha – who has also been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool – looks only set to surface should Coman decide on a new challenge away from the Bundesliga champions.
