However, the arrivals of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha have increased competition for places in the Barcelona squad and Aubameyang could be allowed to leave should a suitable offer arrive, as the Catalans look to reduce an inflated wage bill.
The 33-year-old previously worked under Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund. Aubameyang scored 79 goals across his two seasons under Tuchel’s management, including the winner as Dortmund won the 2017 DFB-Pokal.
Meanwhile, Sport are reporting that Aubameyang is open to a return to the Premier League, while they also been credit Chelsea with an interest in the forward’s teammate, Memphis Depay.
Depay is another name who is free to leave Barcelona this summer and is reportedly interesting a number of Premier League clubs and Juventus.
