Leicester will demand a fee of £50m from clubs interested in signing James Maddison this summer.
Maddison appears increasingly likely to leave Leicester at the end of the season and there is an acceptance that the midfielder will move on as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium.
The Telegraph are reporting that Leicester value Maddison at around £50m despite the prospect of the 26-year-old leaving on a free transfer in 2024.
He has developed into one of the Premier League’s most productive creative midfielders and has been directly involved in 35 goals and assists in 56 league appearances since the start of last season.
Maddison is a long-term target for Tottenham who are understood to be leading the race for his signature, while Newcastle are also expected to return with renewed interest after a failed approach last summer. Liverpool and Manchester City have also been tentatively linked with Maddison, whose form has led to a recall to the England squad.
He formed part of the squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but did not feature in the tournament, before being handed his full England debut during the 2-0 win over Ukraine last month.
Norwich are set to receive a percentage of the profit made on Maddison’s departure, after inserting a clause into the £25m deal that took the midfielder to Leicester in 2018.
