Liverpool ‘keeper Kelleher attracting PL interest

Caoimhin Kelleher is a transfer target for Wolves with the Liverpool goalkeeper keen to leave the club in search of regular football.

Kelleher is open to an exit from Liverpool as he looks to secure a number one role, having seen his opportunities largely limited to cup competition due to the presence of Alisson Becker at Anfield.

Wolves have now emerged as a potential destination for the Republic of Ireland international, who Liverpool value at around £20m. According to the Daily Mail, Wolves view Kelleher as a replacement for Jose Sa, who is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool are reluctant to lose Kelleher with the 24-year-old highly-rated at the club, but accept the Irishman’s stance in wanting a first-choice role.

Kelleher has made just 21 senior appearances for the Reds and is keen to improve his chances of securing Ireland’s number one position, having won 10 caps for the national side to date.

Liverpool have already confirmed that Adrian will remain with the club as back-up to Alisson this season after the Spanish goalkeeper signed a new one-year contract extension.
