Manchester United have rejected an opening bid from Galatasaray for Fred, amid growing interest in the midfielder.
Fred is free to leave Manchester United this summer should a suitable offer arrive, with the Brazilian having made just 12 league starts under Erik ten Hag last season.
The 30-year-old’s contract expires next summer and the Red Devils are keen to recoup a fee and bring in funds to strengthen the squad.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Galatasaray have approached United over a potential deal, but an undisclosed opening offer from the Turkish side has been rejected. However, Fred is expected to depart this summer as several clubs pursue a deal.
The midfielder travelled with the squad to Norway for Wednesday’s friendly with Leeds, but did not feature as the Red Devils began their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win in Oslo.
Fulham are also interested in a deal to sign Fred and are preparing an approach, while there is interest from other Premier League sides and The Saudi Pro League.
United are reportedly demanding a fee in excess of £20m for Fred, who has made 213 appearances in all competitions since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018.
