Juventus defender Bremer reveals Premier League proposals

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer has revealed that he has received proposals from Premier League clubs this summer.

Bremer has been linked with a move to English football as Juventus deal with the fall-out from the club’s financial issues.

Juventus were hit with a €20 million (£17m) fine and one-year ban from competing in UEFA competitions after breaching the organisation’s Financial Fair Play regulations, following a 10-point deduction in Serie A after an investigation deemed the club guilty of ‘financial irregularities’ and ‘false accounting’ in relation to past transfer dealings.

Chelsea have been credited with interest in Bremer but have since turned their attention to AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi, while Tottenham, Newcastle, Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with signing centre-backs this summer.

The 26-year-old – who was named as Serie A Best Defender in 2021/22 and made his Brazil debut last year – has reiterated his desire to remain at Juventus despite their absence from European competition, despite revealing proposals from Premier League clubs.

“Yes, true – Premier League clubs wanted me but… they can wait. I want to stay at Juventus,” The centre-back told Tuttosport, via Fabrizio Romano. “I’m here to win titles and I’m at the best club in Italy.”
