Fiorentina set Friday deadline for Amrabat sale

Fiorentina have set a deadline of Friday for interested clubs to agree a deal for in-demand midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

Amrabat has been linked with a number of leading clubs across Europe and has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Serie A side.

Manchester United have been credited with interest in the defensive midfielder, while Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also understood to have monitored the Moroccan’s situation in Florence.

Erik ten Hag previously worked with Amrabat at FC Utrecht and has considered a reunion to add depth to the Manchester United midfield, but Corriere dello Sport, as per Football Italia, are reporting that Fiorentina want a transfer agreed by Friday if the midfielder is to leave during the current window.

Fiorentina value the 27-year-old in the region of €30m and want sufficient time to source a replacement before the transfer deadline.

Amrabat impressed as Morocco became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final last winter and formed part of the Fiorentina team that reached the Coppa Italia and Europa Conference League finals in 2022/23.
