Manchester United and Chelsea are among a growing list of clubs chasing Croatian teenager Dino Klapija.
Europe’s elite are tracking the progress of the 16-year-old, who has impressed in the youth set-up for NK Kustosija and the Croatia national team.
The forward spent time in the academy system at New York City FC, before returning to Croatia with his family and signing for NK Kustosija, who have developed a reputation for providing chances to emerging talent.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United and Chelsea have joined the long list of suitors for Klapija, alongside RB Leipzig, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus.
Leipzig are considered favourites to sign the forward and are prepared to offer a fee in the region of £5m to sign the teenager, though interest from the Premier League could hinder the Bundesliga side’s hopes of signing Klapija.
Leipzig are keen to sign the forward and will offer him a clear route to first-team football, with the Germans having focused on emerging talent this summer after the sales of Josko Gvardiol, Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai to Premier League clubs.
