Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan as the teenager looks to secure regular first-team football this season.
Santos signed for Chelsea from Vasco da Gama during the January transfer window after an exciting emergence at the Brazilian side, where the 19-year-old scored eight goals in 33 league appearances in 2022.
The midfielder formed part of the Brazil side that won the South American U-20 Championship earlier this year and ended the competition as the joint-leading scorer with six goals, before earning his first cap for the senior side in March.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Nottingham Forest have now agreed a deal to take Santos on loan for the season, with Chelsea set to allow the Brazilian to depart to aid his development.
Medical tests are set to be arranged for the teenager, though no purchase option has been included with Santos viewed as a key part of Chelsea’s future under Mauricio Pochettino.
Santos impressed during Chelsea’s pre-season preparations and will now be given the chance to perform at Premier League level at the City Ground.
