Ryan Gravenberch is open to a move to Liverpool before Friday’s transfer deadline after the Reds made an approach for the Bayern Munich midfielder.
Liverpool are keen to add another midfielder to their options before the closure of the transfer window and have approached Bayern to discuss a potential deal for Gravenberch, who struggled to establish himself at the Bundesliga champions after arriving from Ajax last summer.
The 21-year-old made just three league starts for Thomas Tuchel’s side last season and has featured for just nine minutes across Bayern’s opening two fixtures of the new campaign.
The Athletic are reporting that Liverpool have contacted Bayern to discuss a permanent deal for the Netherlands international, who is ‘open’ to a move to Anfield.
Manchester United have also expressed interest in Gravenberch, but are working on a tight budget and are focused on a loan deal for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.
Bayern are yet to make a decision on Gravenberch’s future, but added to their midfield options with the signing of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig earlier this summer.
