Fiorentina ‘open’ to Amrabat loan as Man United chase deal

Fiorentina are now open to allowing Sofyan Amrabat to leave on loan before the deadline, as Manchester United chase a deal to sign the midfielder.

Amrabat has been left out of recent Fiorentina squads as the Moroccan pushes for an exit, but Manchester United have so far failed to meet the Italian side’s asking price.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a breakthrough could be found with Fiorentina now open to a loan exit, provided the club receive a ‘higher loan fee’ and an option is included to make the move permanent.

United remain in negotiations with Fiorentina in a bid to strike a deal, though travel to the UK is yet to be arranged as the two clubs look to reach an agreement.

Amrabat has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Serie A side and has made clear his desire for a move to Old Trafford.

Fulham had also considered the 27-year-old with Joao Palhinha having been granted permission to hold talks with Bayern Munich, but the Cottagers have instead turned their focus towards deals for Everton’s Alex Iwobi and Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Fulham had earlier been linked with Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
