Chelsea ‘tracking’ Copenhagen teenager Bardghji

Chelsea are in a group of major European clubs tracking Copenhagen teenager Roony Bardghji.

The 18-year-old’s fine form has placed him on the radar of top teams across the continent, having scored ten goals in 23 appearances for the Danish champions in all competitions this season.

 

Bardghji’s goal return included the winner as Copenhagen upset Manchester United with a 4-3 win over the Red Devils during Champions League’s group stage.

The teenager’s current contract expires in December 2025, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that several clubs are preparing an approach, including Chelsea.

The West Londoners have focused on emerging talent in recent windows and Bardghji is viewed as one of the best prospects outside of Europe’s major leagues.

Juventus, Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen are also tracking the Kuwait-born winger, who has scored twice in seven appearances for the Sweden u-21 side.

Bardghji became Copenhagen’s youngest ever debutant, aged 16 years and 6 days, in 2021 and has since made 57 appearances for the club.
