Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag admits his side are playing well below standards after losing to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Nicolas Dominguez and Morgan Gibbs-White scored either side of a Marcus Rashford strike to beat the Red Devils for the first time since 1994.
The defeat heaps more pressure on Ten Hag, who has overseen 14 losses in all competitions this season – the last time Man United had more at the turn of the year was 1930-31.

“The result is clear,” Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day. “It’s disappointing. Losing 1-0 you get a comeback and we were good but in a counter moment we gave a goal way.
“The loss was unnecessary. We lost it in the first half. We weren’t energised enough or invested enough.
“I thought against [Aston] Villa we played well in the first half, we conceded from set plays. We should invest more in the first half.

“In the second we were better. In the first half we should have created some moments and we didn’t. We know these results are below our standards.”
Man United are not back in Premier League action until 14 January when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Their next outing seems them make the short journey to Wigan Athletic for the third round of the FA Cup on Monday, 8 January.
