Liverpool considering move for Fulham free transfer

Liverpool are considering a move to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham as the defender nears the end of his deal.

Adarabioyo is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a number of clubs, with AC Milan reportedly interested in signing the centre-back on a free transfer.

Spurs also showed interest in signing the 26-year-old last summer and The Mirror are reporting that Liverpool could now enter the race.

The Reds were reportedly impressed by Adarabioyo’s performances in the recent Carabao Cup semi-final between the teams and are monitoring defensive options ahead of the summer window.

Joel Matip’s contract with the club expires at the end of the season and it appears unlikely the 32-year-old will be offered a new deal, given his age and recent record with injuries.

Fulham are determined to keep Adarabioyo in West London and are prepared to wait for a decision from the defender, though there is an acceptance the 6ft 5in centre-back could move on given interest from leading clubs in England and Europe.

Adarabioyo has made 122 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers since joining from Manchester City for a fee of around £2m in 2020.
