Manchester United and Real Madrid are monitoring Real Sociedad centre-back Robin Le Normand ahead of the January transfer window.
Erik ten Hag wants to sign another centre-back when the winter transfer window opens and Le Normand is on the Red Devils’ radar.
The French-born 26-year-old made his international debut for Spain in June and has since won six caps for La Roja, having impressed as Sociedad secured a top four finish and Champions League qualification last season.
Fichajes are reporting that United view Le Normand as a potential replacement for Harry Maguire, who has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford, while Real Madrid are also admirers.
The latter are keen to reinforce their central defensive options with Nacho Fernandez expected to leave at the end of the season and both David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger having entered their thirties.
Last season, Le Normand led La Liga for percentage of aerial duels won (74.5%) and ranked 10th among all players across Europe’s top leagues.
Manchester United have also been linked with Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, though could face competition from Arsenal and Manchester City for the England international.
