Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly “in talks” with Chelsea over a move for Conor Gallagher as they line up three new signings in the January transfer window.
Multiple reports on Saturday revealed what deals Spurs hope to complete next month after a promising first half to the Premier League campaign under Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian has supposedly told the club that a new central defender is a “priority”, while he also wants to sign a new winger and a central midfielder who can play the box-to-box role.

Spurs have been linked with Jean-Clair Todibo, but OGC Nice are not looking to do a deal until the summer, so the north London outfit are “expected to quickly step up” their pursuit of Genoa’s Radu Dragusin, according to The Telegraph.
Fabrizio Romano claims that a potential deal is further along than that, tweeting that Spurs are “prepared to send first verbal bid” after opening discussions. Roma, AC Milan and Atalanta are also said to be interested in the Romanian.
With Son Heung-min set to miss up to a month of action while he represents South Korea at the Asian Cup, the report adds Postecoglou wants to reunite with former Celtic winger Jota.

The Portuguese reportedly wants to leave Saudi Arabia after joining Al-Ittihad in the summer and could be available on loan or as a free transfer.

“Negotiations are underway” between Spurs and Chelsea over a possible deal for Gallagher, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. The midfielder could move for £40m in January.
However, the transfer could hinge on the Lilywhites’ selling Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is attracting interest from Juventus.
