Sadio Mane has hinted that he will remain at Liverpool and says he will give a ‘special’ answer on his future following the Champions League final.
Mane will enter the final year of his contract this summer and has so far failed to agree terms on a new deal at Anfield, with the Senegal international having been coy this week when asked on his future.
Bayern Munich have been linked with a move to sign the 30-year-old, but Mane has now suggested there will be positive news on his situation following this weekend’s clash with Real Madrid in Paris.
“Honestly, the answer I can give you now is I feel very good, and I am fully focused on Saturday’s game. That is the answer I must give before the final,” he said, as per the Guardian.
“But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then. For now, let’s go win it because I have no time for other things.
“I will do everything possible to win it because it is my and all the boys’ biggest dream, then I will give you the answers.”
Mane has enjoyed an excellent individual season for the Reds in 2021/22, scoring 23 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions.
He also starred as Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 2022, being named as the Player of the Tournament.
