Interest in Evan Ferguson from ‘nearly every one’ of the Premier League‘s top teams

Evan Ferguson is attracting interest from ‘nearly every one’ of the Premier League’s top teams following his emergence at Brighton.

Ferguson became just the fourth player to score a Premier League hat-trick aged 18 or under against Newcastle last weekend and has now scored 10 goals in the top-flight since the start of last season.

The teenager’s exciting emergence has turned the heads of England’s elite and inews are reporting that almost all of the Premier League’s top teams are monitoring his progress.

Manchester City are reported to be keen on a deal, with the Cityzens believing Ferguson is capable of playing alongside Erling Haaland in a potent partnership at centre-forward.

The Ireland international is also viewed as a potential successor to the Norwegian, should be depart in the coming seasons amid long-standing interest from Real Madrid.

Ferguson has averaged a Premier League goal every 115 minutes since his Brighton debut, while only three players have ever scored more goals in the division before their 19th birthday.

Ferguson – who has withdrawn from the Ireland squad for September’s international fixtures with a knee issue – has now scored 14 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for Brighton.
