Postecoglou reveals Spurs transfer stance amid Gallagher link

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou does not expect the club to make any more signings before the end of the January transfer window.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, with The Times claiming the north London outfit are considering a late bid for the 23-year-old.

Postecoglou says he won’t rule out anything happening before transfer deadline day on Thursday, February 1, but thinks it is “unlikely” they will dip back into the market.

“I don’t see any incomings,” the Greek coach said ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Brentford.

“Outgoings are a little bit different as I’m not totally engaged with it – other people are doing the work around that.

“I’d say it’s unlikely on both fronts, without ruling anything out.”

Spurs signed centre-back Radu Dragusin from Genoa for a transfer fee of £25m, while they also brought in former Chelsea attacker Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig.

The Lilywhites have also loaned out several fringe players, including Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Sergio Reguilon, Japhet Tanganga and Djed Spence.

Hugo Lloris also left the club after 11 years to join MLS side Los Angeles FC on a free transfer.
