Sterling committed to Chelsea amid Al-Hilal rumours

Raheem Sterling remains committed to Chelsea despite speculation surrounding a move to Al-Hilal.

Sterling has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League side who are continuing to target top talent in Europe, following a summer recruitment drive that saw Neymar, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ruben Neves among the names to move to the unbeaten league leaders.

Sterling’s representatives have now shutdown suggestions he could look to leave west London for the Middle East, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that sources close to the player have confirmed there has been no discussions with Al-Hilal.

The 29-year-old has had a mixed campaign in a disappointing season for Chelsea, scoring six times and providing three assists in 23 Premier League appearances.

The England international signed for Chelsea in a £47.5m deal from Manchester City in 2022, though his time at Stamford Bridge has seen the club struggle for results and consistency.

Chelsea are currently 11th in the Premier League table and were beaten in extra time of the Carabao Cup final by Liverpool on Sunday. The Blues are currently 17 points adrift of the Champions League places and facing an uphill battle to secure European football for next season.
