Spurs eyeing double raid on Premier League rivals

Ange Postecoglou wants to improve the creativity of his Spurs side this summer with the north Londoners preparing a double raid on their Premier League rivals.

Postecoglou’s first season at Spurs has been encouraging with the club pushing for a place in next season’s Champions League, though attention has already turned to the next stage of the rebuild in the summer window.

Spurs have made the signing of a new winger their focus for the transfer window and are keen on a deal to sign Wolves’ Pedro Neto. North London rivals Arsenal are also admirers of the 23-year-old, who has recorded nine assists in just 16 league starts this season.

Wolves are expected to demand a club-record fee for Neto, eclipsing the £53m figure that took Matheus Nunes to Manchester City in 2023.

Spurs signed Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig in January and have been pleased with the German’s impact since returning to English football, though a decision is yet to be made on whether to activate the £15.5m clause to make the move permanent.

The Independent are reporting that Spurs also like Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze. The 25-year-old has broken into the England squad since moving to the Eagles from Crystal Palace and has been tracked by several of the Premier League’s wealthiest clubs.

Manchester City made an enquiry into his availability last summer and Pep Guardiola’s side retain interest in Eze, whose preferred destination would be the PremierLeague champions.
