Man United given 24 hour ultimatum by Inter Milan over Onana transfer

Inter Milan have given Manchester United a 24 hour ultimatum to make an improved offer for Andre Onana.

United are interested in a deal to sign the Cameroon goalkeeper and have seen an opening offer turned down. Inter are willing to let Onana leave the club this summer for a suitable fee, but are demanding improvement on the latest offer from the Premier League side.

Onana is set to report to Inter for pre-season training on July 13 and the Italian side are prepared to continue with the 27-year-old next season if a deal is not agreed imminently.

Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that the Champions League finalists have given Manchester United an ultimatum – meet Onana’s asking price now or miss out on his signing.

Inter have allowed veteran goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to leave, with the club considering moves for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer as replacements for Handanovic and Onana.

The Serie A side are seeking clarity on their goalkeeper situation and are prepared to continue with Onana next season if Manchester United do not reach an agreement over a fee.

Onana impressed as Inter reached the Champions League final last season and previously worked under Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
