Bayern Munich make enquiry for Chelsea midfielder

Bayern Munich have made an enquiry into the availability of Conor Gallagher as the club look to complete a double deal for the Chelsea midfielder and teammate Trevoh Chalobah.

Gallagher’s future at Chelsea appears uncertain following the club’s summer transfer business, with the west Londoners having brought in midfielders Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu for a combined fee in the region of £196.5m

Gallagher has started all three of Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures to date, but Bayern have made an enquiry into the England international’s availability before the deadline.

Thomas Tuchel knows Gallagher from his time at Chelsea and Bayern are keen to add another midfielder to their options.

talkSPORT are reporting that Gallagher could join Trevoh Chalobah in moving to the Bundesliga champions. The defender is a target for Bayern as the Bavarians looks to replace Benjamin Pavard, who is on the verge of signing for Inter Milan.

Chalobah is understood to be open to the move to Munich as he looks to secure a regular role. The 24-year-old is another who faces a difficult task in securing first-team football following the arrival of Axel Disasi from AS Monaco and the return of Levi Colwill from a season-long loan at Brighton.
